Inspired by the life and spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen works tirelessly to serve those in need. Their mission is not just to fulfill the basic need for food, but also to stimulate minds, nourish spirits, and address root causes of social injustice in our community.

Headquartered in Detroit, Gleaners serves five Southeast Michigan counties: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe. They provide food to nearly 400 partner schools, soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and other agencies, as well as through direct-service, drive-up grocery distributions.

Efforts include the Cars and Cigars Smoke Detroit fundraiser, as well as the Hunger-Free in The D radiothon. Combined, these two events have raised over $8-million in donations.
